MARCOS ANTHONY PAINTERS PROJECT
Our story
The Pintores Marcos Anthony Project emerged in 2013, initially in the city of Timóteo–MG, Marcos's hometown, where there was the first face-to-face, meeting between the artist and the children.
The intention was, firstly, so that children could interact with art and with artists, since in artistic education subjects, they studied the biography of artists who had already passed away. The design was a triumph!!!
The project goes beyond art, it combines a very special cultural and social purpose. From a very early age, Marcos fascinated children with his art. Children and teenagers have opportunities to connect with the artist and study Marcos Anthony's biography.
Marcos fell in love with the project, and for years he has been improving and introducing more effective elements for great success. Marcos and his curator Lee Soarez have the same idea that art saves lives, so they merged exhibitions, painting workshops and lectures into the same project. We notice greater motivation in boys when they have the opportunity to study the artist's history together with their art. The post-workshop cultural enrichment of these children is clear and was noted very positively by the teachers.
The impact was a resounding success, which spread to the major capitals: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Vitória and renowned cities: Cotia–SP, Timóteo–MG, Ipatinga–MG, Coronel Fabriciano–MG, Contagem– MG, Nova Lima–MG, Governador Valadares–MG, etc.
